How to cancel Discord Nitro
Cancel Discord Nitro: User Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel. Must cancel on the same device type you used to buy.
Cancel on the web
- Open Discord in a browser or the desktop app (use the same type of device you used to buy Nitro).
- Click the cogwheel next to your username to open User Settings.
- Open the Subscriptions tab.
- Click Cancel on the Nitro or Nitro Basic banner and follow the prompts until confirmed.
Cancel on iPhone / iOS
- If you bought Nitro through Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Discord → Cancel Subscription (Discord cannot cancel Apple-billed Nitro for you).
- If you bought Nitro in the Discord iOS app billed by Discord: open Discord → tap your avatar (bottom right) → cogwheel → Billing Settings → Manage Nitro → Cancel and confirm.
Cancel on Android
- If Google Play bills you: Discord User Settings → Manage Nitro/Subscriptions may send you to Google Play, or cancel in Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Discord.
- If you bought on desktop/browser: cancel only on desktop/browser (User Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel) — mobile cannot cancel a desktop purchase.
Refunds & timing
Nitro stays active until the end of the current billing period after you cancel. Cancel on the same device type where you purchased (desktop/browser vs mobile). Apple-billed Nitro must be canceled in Apple Subscriptions; Discord Support cannot manage iOS App Store billing. Locked out of Discord: use Discord billing support (dis.gd/billing) with the email on the account (except Apple-billed).

Does uninstalling the Discord app cancel Nitro?
No. Uninstalling does not stop billing. Cancel in Discord User Settings → Subscriptions on the same device type you used to buy, or in Apple / Google Play if they bill you.
When do Discord Nitro charges stop after cancel?
Once canceled, Nitro ends at the end of your current billing period. You keep benefits until that date and are not charged again unless you resubscribe.
