- Otherwise, open one.google.com in Safari and follow the web steps.
Cancel on Android
- Open the Google One app.
- At the top, tap Menu → Settings → Cancel membership.
- To confirm, tap Cancel membership.
Refunds & timing
Your extra storage and benefits stay until the end of the billing cycle, then you return to the free 15 GB. If you are over 15 GB, Gmail can't send or receive, Drive stops syncing/uploading, and Photos stops backing up until you free space. In most countries Google storage plan purchases are non-refundable; Play Store purchases follow Google Play refund policies and App Store purchases need a refund request to Apple. If you have Pixel Pass, you must cancel Pixel Pass too.
FAQ
Will I lose my files if I cancel Google One?
Not immediately. You keep the free 15 GB. If you use more than that, Gmail, Drive uploads/sync, and Photos backup are restricted until you reduce storage.
When does Google One end after I cancel?
Storage and benefits continue until the end of your current billing cycle (Metro by T-Mobile sponsored memberships end immediately).
Can I downgrade instead of canceling?
Yes. Google lets you change or decrease your storage plan instead of canceling from Google One settings.
